How about a spotlight on an upcoming game title? You could list the specs like
Platforms: xbox, ps3 windows
Rating: A for Awsome!ness
Genre: Action adventure/RPG etc.
Multiplayer y/n
Release date: 2/2/22 (plenty of time to save up for that)
For fans of: Beavers and lumberjacks
Hypeometer:
This is where you could give site members the opportunity to vote on an upcoming release. For example Mass Effect 3. Give it a 1-5 rating, with a site metric pulling all those votes into a top 5 or top 10 future release wishlist.

What bugs me most about this site is the unstructured, cluttered design and the somewhat sluggish performance (possibly because of too many features). A cleaner, simpler redesign based on the Web 2.0-Standards is in my opinion really needed. Cut some features and add some sexy pixels, for example something like this: http://dribbble.com/shots/204933-Gamer-Central/ or http://dribbble.com/shots/47973-Gamer-Site.
So personally, I'd rather try to fix this first before adding even more features, but that's just my opinion...

That's a really interesting feature Wastelander-75. I love it when the community can share their hype and excitement for a new release especially in a situation like that where it could be site wide.

We appreciate the feedback Swissendo! Things definitely could be better and that is exactly what we are trying to do. We're playing with some mockups right now and hopefully soon we'll figure something out. Don't lose hope! We're certainly not.

I think the Forums being under PLAYERS menu is awkward, maybe give it it's own header?
