The drops in the STFs...

Common, ie Encrypted Data Chips (EDC) and Rare Borg Salavge will drop on Normal.
The really good stuff, the prototype tech, (for the Mk XII gear) will only drop in the Elite versions.
Additionally, certain kinds will only drop on certain maps...as follows...

Shield Tech drops in Infected Space
Personal Shield tech in Infected Ground
Engine tech in Cure space
Weapon tech in Cure ground
Deflector tech in Khitomer space
Personal armor tech Khitomer ground

All vendors for these are on DS9.(go right from the beam-down)  
I encourage anyone who hasn't yet to fly out there and check out the Mk XII gear sets and the Mk XII weapons for space and ground.
It'll help make all the grinding of redoing these missions over and over seem more worthwhile if you know what you're working for.

ok, let try to get everyone up with the full Mk XI ground set.. I've tried pugging elite STF ground and its a real bear to do.We'd do better with fleetteam for running the elite ground.I got clarification from a dev on the uniform unlocks..the 4 missing pieces of the set unlock with the Level XII gear (which I consider a serious rip off btw, and entirely toally unacceptable all things considered)Everyone will need to pack minor, major and critical injury healing thingies, and it is strongly recomended that everyone aquire the remodulator for the Deferea ground to suplement the intrinsic remodulator of the ground sets. There is a fix about to happen on the STF elite ground runs to ease up the one shotting elitetactical drones I hope.. Right now the elite runs are right up at stupidly hard just to get a damd uniform unlock but I want to do them. I strongly urge all KBF member to post issues on the Cryptic forums, and encourage other KDF players to do the same.. I'd like to see the KDF forums blow up from the number of posts.. I see they're also gonna tweak the drop rate soon on Tribble as well.I, for one, would prefer to wait until they do before doing too many Elite runs.There are still those in the fleet who haven't done any of the ground runs yet, as well as some who have only done the space ones once or twice.Practice, practice, practice...
