more crazy ideas from Berumin

So no takers on the photo contest? Well I guess no gold for y'all.

Ideas:

give Berumin a last name contest - I really can't think of a good, fun-sounding, and theme appropriate last name for me, so if you think you have a good idea, send me a message (either via the guild web site or in-game.) If I use it, I'll give you credit and 20 (or more!) gold.

officer elections - Interested in becoming an officer? Think someone else should be an officer? I'm considering making the short fuses a representative democracy; if folks think this is a good idea send in your nominations (via in-game e-mail) and if I get enough candidates by the end of April, I'll post the roster and take votes. If I don't get at least two candidates, I'll keep the guild as a benevolent (???!???) dictatorship and appoint folks I think are deserving to the officer corps.

guild colors - I have quite a collection of (not particularly rare) dyes, and I've thought about coming up with a guild color scheme to make us more identifiable. How about purple and yellow? Blue and black? Red and orange? I'm partially color-blind and not particularly style-savvy--have a suggestion? I'm happy to dig into the treasury to pay for folks to dye their outfits.

guild photo - really need to take a more current photo. When would be good? Week nights seem to be the busiest times, but then I'm in Pacific Time so perhaps earlier?

alliance!

So we are now allied with two other guilds. I have to /guildalliancepromote you to allow you to chat, I've hit most folks whose name I recognize (apologies if I missed you.) Contact me if you wish to send alliance chat. Good way to hook up for some alliance-level action.

(Within an hour of forming the alliance, I was steppin' into the Bastion Stairs for some dungeon questing with my alliance bretheren, lots of guild standards flying...)

inactive characters swept

Apparently, inactive characters in the guild drag down our guild rank. Many of the toons are alts for folks, so they don't play regularly. I've swept out any that haven't logged in within 25 days on March 31, but added them to my friends list in case they show up again in the future. Folks are, of course, quite welcome to rejoin.

tier captains

In order to better support lower tier players, I am looking for tier captains. If you are an active player in T2 or T3, drop me a line (or I may just notice you online regularly like me, and I'll drop you a line.)

What is a tier captain? Somebody that is available, interested, and willing to help out their fellow dwarves either in figgering out a quest, finding tome unlocks, or just good old-fashioned teaming up in RvR!

Best part is you'll keep your status as a captain when you progress to the higher tiers (and if you're a T2 captain you should continue as a T3 captain.)

If you know of someone at a lower tier you know is good, I am happy to entertain recommendations.

Finally, I am open to folks starting an alt character (heck, I might give it a try myself) and having that alt be a captain, just don't neglect your main (or they might get swept out for being inactive!)

opening up to all dwarves

After much discussion, the general consensus is that we'll open up the guild to all dwarves. Yes, if you've been playing a slayer on the sly, now you can be legit and sign the slayer up to the guild. Or better yet, we all know how important rune priests are to keeping us engies from dropping at the third hit from the witch elf dancing around our head!

Anyways, feel free to invite any dwarves you see and know.
