Raiding rules and guidelines

Raid Officers:

Vitiate/Zevor- Raid leader

Cuong- Tanking assignment and dkp officer

Annalina- Raid invitations/Healing assignments

Azdeen- Web Admin

Attendance:

Everyone is expected to be online, at the instance and ready to raid at 7:45pm server time. It allows the raid to get buffs up, put a food table out and set-up assignments for an 8pm start. Remember that the rest of the raid relies on you to show-up and be prepared to raid. Please, be courteous and let one of the officers (Annalina, Cuong or Zevor/Vitiate) know if you will be absent or late for any given raid. If you repeatedly show-up late or fail to inform the leadership of absences, we reserve the right to place you on the back-up roster.

Unfortunately, disconnections are something we need to learn to live with. However, if a person is offline for more than 15mins, we may need to replace them in order to minimize interruption to the raid progression.

On some nights, we may need to ask that you sit one or more encounters out. Please understand that in order to run a 25man raid, we do need more than 25people and some encounters may require a particular class set-up to facilitate downing the boss. We will try to accommodate everyone and take into account loot drops before asking anyone to sit out. You will receive full dkps while sitting out (see dkp thread for details).

AFKs:

Please refrain from taking random AFKs or afking when we’re rezzing. Let one of the leaders know if you need an afk, and auto-follow a healer or ranged.

Raid invitations:

 These will be made based on in-game calendar sign-up, attendance record and class needs.

Talent specs:

Please understand that in order to progress, everyone needs to have a raiding appropriate spec. In some cases, we may need to ask you to respect for class balance or a particular encounter. In such cases, we will help with the expense.

Ventrillo and raid chat channel:

Please keep these clear for raiding communication, assignments, encounter strategies and loot. Rejects channel and class channels are available for chatting. We also encourage everyone to please check what they are writing in chat as it is easy to misinterpret statements and take offense. If you have suggestions, concerns or issues about anything in the raid, feel free to PM or contact the officers in game. Please remember that we are human and receive many whispers during the raid. We do our best to respond to everyone but this is not always possible. If you feel that your whisper has been missed and your concern not addressed, ask in vent for one of the officers to speak with you. We will take you to another channel and address your issue. We would love to accommodate everyone’s wishes but unfortunately there are 24 other raiders with wishes/suggestions of their own, therefore everyone needs to compromise for raid progression.  We ask that you do not use Ventrillo or raid channel to vent any frustrations. Remember that the rest of the raid is probably just as frustrated and venting is simply going to be counter-productive.

 Addons, etc…:

Everyone is required to have ventrillo ( you do not need to speak but you must be able to listen to instructions), Deadly boss mods, oRA2/Ctraid and Omen. Classes that can cleanse, dispel, decurse etc… need to have decursive.

Raid Commitment

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to remind everyone that you are expected to work on your gear outside of the raid and to come to the raid prepared. This means bringing consumables (food and flasks/elixirs), having the appropriate spec (please don't show-up with PVP specs) and glyphs for that spec, as well as having your gear properly enchanted and socketed. Any gear that you loot during the raid should be socketed and enchanted by the following raid. If you need help with that, please ask in the Rejects channel. We have several people that can cut gems or enchant your gear. It really helps raid progression if everyone shows-up prepared to raid. We did incredibly well this week and I would really love to keep our progression going. Malygos is awaiting us, so let's go kick his behind soon!

Frost Resistance Gear

Hi guys,

Can everyone please work on their frost resistance gear for Sapphiron? You'll need about 170 frost resistance unbuffed which should be easy to get with your class resistance pieces. It's probably easiest to use the boots and belt as they will not affect any set bonuses.
If you need people to craft the items, please ask in Rejects channel. Krakatoa and Annalina can craft the cloth pieces. Cuong can craft plate items. We also have leatherworkers (Azdeen and Givin).
