Kinship Charter

Guardians of Nimrodel is a LOTRO kinship formed on the Nimrodel server. Our kinship was founded on the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience and enjoy "Lord of the Rings online", no matter how experienced or inexperienced someone may be. We believe that our kinship should enhance players enjoyment of the game. We are not like other guilds, clans, or kinships you may have encountered in game. We will be organized and strategic in our methods, but if we all get mobbed and killed during a raid or battle, we can laugh it off. If you are looking for a great time with fun people, then come join us! We are currently recruiting.
Our focus is simple, through good recruiting, courtesy, and a willingness to advance in the game, a good kinship is formed. Myself and Officers are here to help, so please if you have a question about anything, never let it go unanswered. We welcome all classes and races, no one shall go overlooked.
No one is perfect, therefore, if you have any suggestions and/or complaints, please submit them either via forum post or send a tell to an officer in game and it will be handled.
Please remember to always set the example for other kins. If you don't like someone shrug them off and don't make a fool out of yourself in game. Let's also remember to respect each others rights as humans.. racial, religious, gender, or other personal slurs in game will not be tolerated.
Through fellowships, comradery, and common courtesy these goals can and will be obtained. We, Guardians of Nimrodel, look forward to seeing everyone in game!

Got Raid Fever?

Ok, as seen in the in game mail/newsletter, the Guardians of Nimordel has joined forces with other small kins to form the 'Nimrodel Raid Alliance'. This is primarily for upper level characters who want to raid the rift, helegrod, fornost, or the other spots. The purpose of this alliance is to not get 'gobbled' up by larger kins. We have lost too many good players because we simply did not have the numbers to support raids. Well, hopefully that will stop AND more importantly we get to keep our comraderie. I would urge anyone who is level 47 and above to join the website is
http://nra.dkpsystem.com/ and click the 'online application' link on the left side. The site is pretty user friendly but it has its quirks. I think this is a good thing for us to be able to branch out and make new friends with some of the smaller kins (The Undying Fellowship, Weekend Warriors, Delta Rangers, Defenders of the Valar, Shadow Gypsies, Arch Presidium, Nelad Gwaith to name a few).
Here are a few raiding tips for fun play...
- Let the leader lead, if you don't like the way a raid is being led then just tough it out and at least get the experience... you can always become a leader once you have the experience.
- Don't whine when you don't get a good roll on items you really want. All that is going to do is cause others to not want to play with you and then you will NEVER get that item.
- Listen carefully to the raid leader when he/she is giving out instructions for a specific upcomming fight. If you are unsure what you are supposed to do send him/her a tell or use the raid chat.. its better to ask then to get wiped by a big mean boss.
- Remember you are representing the Guardians of Nimrodel. We are a small, proud bunch of fine players and good people. Don't tarnish our name by losing your temper or just acting like a tard.

As a leader i will have only one rule for myself. To
have fun. And that is all I expect out of you.
There are some things I would expect the officers to do (me included) but I will talk to them seperately.
My vision for the kin is simple. First, to restore a little order. Second, to instill in everyone in the kin and wanting to join the kin that they need to have good playing ettiquette and set an example for other kins to follow. Third, to use our good name and find quality recruits regardless of level and to help them become solid members of the kin. Fourth, to make use of the new website and get rid of this dingy one so we can feel more like a family. Fifth, to run the high level areas when we get to that point.
My vision as a leader.I think structure is the key. The officers need to be more accountable for making things happen that will benefit the kin. ie..recruiting, helping lower levels with a quest, and being a leader in a 'raid, quest, run' etc. I would expect each of us to do these things once a week as officers. If you want the title of officer from here on out then you will definately have to earn it and have a unanimous closed ballot vote by all the officers. I would also like to start games/prizes/parties etc for kin only (then branch to non kin for recruiting purposes).
But I think most important for right now is for everyone to chill out and send me your ideas.. take valium, smoke a bowl, hit the needle, drink your bottle, or just be high on life, whatever it takes for everyone to feel more like a family again.

My Announcement

Guys, unfortunately I have decided to leave the kin as well. It has nothing to do with the recent events in LOTRO concerning GoN, it is a personal choice that I have made regarding my own life. I have felt more at home in GoN than I have ever felt in any guild/ kin in any MMO. I do not have as much free time as I used to, & it would not be fair for me to assume the role as leader without being able to devote time to the kin. I
AM NOT joining any other kin!!! I have great respect for all of you and consider you all to be friends. I appreciate all of the help that everyone of you has made in getting me where I am in game today. I will still play from time to time, so feel free to add me to your friends list or shoot me a mail. I would be happy to help in any way that I can.

New Home Page for the GUARDIANS!.... THERE!!

Guardians,
Myself and Sicaro/Azela/Rhodan/Andril have been communicating back and forth on a possible new domain and entirely new website, which he will be playing the role of "Oz" with. The details are still to come, and since this is still in the brainstorming phase I am currently debating on a domain name (URL for the kin site). Preferably, one that is short and that everyone will remember.
The reason behind the change is for the most part the functionality of this site. I realize that Guildcafe is rather tedious to create character profiles and such, and well, it really shouldn't be. So, by implementing a new site, all of us will still have access to forums, but much much more plug-ins available to the kin. More details will be coming, just wanted to give everyone a heads up, so pass the word that we will be moving soon! Also, any ideas for a domain, pass them on to myself or to Sicaro or one of his many aliases.
I'm debating on

www.guardiankin.com something like that... Lets put our heads together!
