Future progression raid rules
Posted by Ultimas on 04-Feb-09 02:14am
Raid loot rules:
1.) Need before Greed
2.) Main spec before Off spec.for example. Ferals will get pref on feral gear over a Oomkin/Resto. A dagger rogue will get pref on a dagger over a sword Rogue.
3.) Loot rotation. If we have 2 dps casters in a raid and one of them has already received a peice of non-tier token loot, the other will get pref on the next peice that drops. When everyone that gear qualifies for said drops has each gotten a peice of loot, the rotaion is reset. If people pass on the loot then it is fair game.In this way...everyone will receive loot and one person will not walk out with 5 peice where the other person received nothing. We're a;; adults...its called fucking sharing.
4.) Teir tokens. Teir tokens will be fair game to anyone that can use them always, the loot rotation rule does not apply to them...they will ALWAYS drop.
5.) Alts will always be treated as offspec over Mains.
-If changes are made outside of these rules they are to be stated at the begining of the raid and agreed upon by everyone. If open rolling is proposed at the start of the raid and you fail to speak up when asked. Its your own fault I dont want to hear the QQing.
-If for some reason whatsoever a loot decision can not be made( I can't for the life of me think of any examples) the decision will be made by the raid leader.
-These rules will apply to a raid untill it is on farm mode and nolonger progression( Like Lawl kara ). Once we are at the point in a raid where we are going to farm badges and gear alts, Open rolling may be used. Read More | Comments: 1
Likely Guild Merger
Posted by DarkDragoonLord on 20-Jan-09 01:56am
We've been approached by a 'sister' guild... a guild full of old friends (Rabi, Xandrake, etc) that are having similar difficulties in getting raids going.
The idea is to merge. Combine our strengths and get a strong foundation going.
I said I'd take everyone's voice into account, and here's the chance to do just that. Yay or nay, and why.
This event will most likely happen by the end of the week unless I hear some serious opposition to it.
Additionally, we'll be absorbing them, I will still maintain guild lead. Rabi will take position as a second in command, as he can generally be on during the times I cannot be around.
Overally things really won't change much around here, save me filling out some officer spots and overall us gaining some more members.
So there it is. If you don't voice an opinion I don't wanna hear you bitch if it goes through.

So, we've got this website up and running, and so the next step is to put it to use.
Instead of the in-game mail I was going to send, I'll use this spot here to explain what I have in mind.
First off, due to the nature of shift work and my schedule, I'm unable to offer a stable raid schedule. So for that, I want to enlist the aid of 1 or 2 people to be my "Tactical Officers", who will run the raids on nights I cannot be there.
Another position I want is a "Public Relations Officer", and I currently have someone in mind for that, and will be talking to them in the near future. Generally this person will be the one handling guild invites, so all inquiries of that nature should be directed towards them.
I'm still toying with the idea of an Officer for each of the play stlyes (melee dps, healing, tanking, etc), but haven't decided on that yet. I'll definately add positions as they are needed.
In addition to these specialized duties, they'll have all the normal responsibilities/perks of any officer position.
If all this looks like the guild is shifting towards a more traditional guild hierarchy, well, it is. Recent events have shown me that my original idea won't work so well.
Do not fear though, I still fully intend to honor my original promise to take every members vote as equal, eg. guild decisions go to the guild to vote on. Only in certain circumstances will the officers decide on an issue, and very rarely will I make a decision that affects the guild solely of my own discression.
