Welcome to Alpha Croesus!

We are a close-knit group, currently consisting of RL friends grouping together for a mutual love of game and Tolkien lore.

Alpha Croesus originally started as a Villain Group (VG) in the MMO 'City of Villains" in February of 2007, originating with it's founding member, and drawing in new members with an elaborate, tongue-in-cheek style of recruitment that was designed to only attract the light of heart and sharp of tongue. Many members have come and gone for a variety of reasons, but the true "core" 4 members of AC has always lived on, and persists today in LoTRO, with the same basic principles that were laid down in it's conception.

Today, Alpha Croesus resides entirely within LoTRO. We have the entire gamut of crafting covered, but always welcome new crafters. Our levels range from mid to low, on account of a love for alts. Our founding rules have always bee thus:

1) We don't care, we don't have to.

2) All hail Jeebuz the Keg (A keg o' beer, much revered by AC).

3) Read the damn books before you watch the movies.

4) Dark humor flows like water in Kinchat. Don't like it? See rule 1.

5) Members will help other members as time/resources permit, but are in no way obligated to do so. Ask, and ye shall recieve. Demand, and ye shall taste cobblestone.

6) Officers are Officers for a reason. They have been with AC since conception, and are entirely responsible for the current flavor of AC. Want to be an officer? We'll ask you, don't ask us.

7) Adults only, 18+ required for membership. We are NOT a family-friendly kinship. We have spouses and chilldren of our own, and we unanimously agreed that they (our kids in particular) should not be subject to our depredations. We expect you to keep your kids a healthy distance away as well, like any sane parent would.

8) We aren't hardcore players. At least 2-3 members we have at any given point do have the option to play all day and night, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we all do as a whole. PvP is engaged for amusement purposes only. Raids are taken as we feel like it, not on a schedule. PL'ing is generally discouraged, but that doesn't mean we won't take lower levels along for the ride on occasion.

Other rules come and go on a whim, but the above guidelines will keep you alive and sane in any encounter with AC, from without or within.
