In-Char Letter of Introduction:
Greetings Dear friend, The Knights of the White Stallion is an order of Knights which was founded by sir Cleitanious O'Keefious of Dol Amroth. The Order's purpose is to function as a long-reaching lance to subdue and destroy the evils that are darkening Middle-Earth. Which brings the Order to Eriador, the Lone-Lands as is called in westron.
While the order was originally only men of Dol Armoth's nobility, Its ranks have come to include members of many of the free peoples.
All are welcome to apply their signatures and their swords to this charter, though only the greatest of those in might and in virtue will earn the name "Knight of the White Stallion".
,signed
Knight-Commander, Cleitanious Antonious O'Keefious
Background: The Knight-Commander (Myself) has been guild-master several times before in other games in the past. Most recently I was guild-master of the "Theramore Marines" in WoW. My Guilds are small, community-like guilds without focus on any single aspect of the game. This way, you can be with friends without being forced to play in a way you do not enjoy.
Requirements: The requirements are simple.
1. No Evil characters may join.
2. Burglars are welcome, as long as they 'pretend' they are something more noble then a thief.
3. You cannot go against any of Turbine's rules.
4. Do not beg or harass other members of the Kinship.
Description: We do not focus on end-game, raids, grinding, farming or anything. We help each other when we can, through sharing materials and helping out on quests. We are not opposed to such gameplay either and encourage our members to do as they please.
Immaturity is tolerated, (Since no one is fully mature until right before they die anyway.) However things like harassment are not tolerated.
There are kinship 'Ranks' to encourage helping and sharing with other kinship members and strangers, much like we did in the "Theramore Marines". Where a certain amount of "guild-points" will be awarded to the Squires by their Knights to further increase their rank. This is done behind the scenes to prevent any issues.
Kinship Functions
Fellowship Questing While Fellowship Questing is neither planned-out or required of its members, it happens and is encouraged. It isn't uncommon for two players of similar level to have a quest that needs to get done. Since the players are online at different times and wanting to do different things, it is hard to coordinate these events or plan them ahead.
Perhaps in the future with high-level content planned Fellowships will be more likely to take place. For now though, if you need some help with a quest, the Kinship is good place to look. Also offering aid to a lower-level player with a challenging quest is one way to increase your reputation with the kinship. Though please do not beg for such an honour.
Resource Sharing This is the most commonly used kinship function of almost any kinship. Sharing resources. As it stands now, very few members of the kinship are contributing to the Kinship as far as resources go, and thus only few members are gaining any benefit from even being in the Kinship. While resource sharing isn't mandatory, what goes around - comes around. The more you give, the more you will receive. Don't share and when it comes time that you need something from someone else, they will not be required to share with you either.
Sharing is done mainly through use of the Kinship House's storage containers.
Friendly Environment As for rules of conduct while in the Kinship, they are the same as Turbine's rules for gameplay and chat.
