History and Ethos
Designed to safeguard our members against the actions of bad guilds and guild deleters, and in game bullies whose sole purpose is to destroy the game for others by causing disruption.
To create a common network of friends that can enjoy inter guild activities such as SvS and PvP, parties and other crazy antics with pirates that play like they do, for fun!

The A is one of the older alliances, originated out of the ashes of Padre Pirates after a major guild disruption back in February 2008.
Over the last 15 months we steadily grew from 4 guilds to 18 guilds and along the way we each took our individual guild members from lvl 1 to 40 some times many times over, providing them with parties and celebrations, and challenging them with friendly PvP and SvS events. And in the darker moments of the game under the ever present threat of guild deletions and wild accusations we all pulled together to maintain that which we have so passionately built up.
Even though a lot of our members have since moved on having grown tired of waiting for the next chapter and notoriety increase for the game we still lovingly protect our guilds and pirates providing a cool environment for all to play in and a lasting one enabling those that moved on to come back once in a while to say 'hi' to old friends.

At present we have 12 active guilds, and 6 inactive ones, all members of these guilds regardless of how often they play all enjoy the benefits of our alliance.

In The A all GM's have equal voices, it is our alliance.

Our alliance meetings are held twice weekly, once for administration and news updates and once for an alliance activity, although activities are not restricted to once a week. We like to party often!
Impromptu parties and spontaneous events some times spring up so we do a lot of our communicating in game, because that’s where we play and because talking keeps us all networked.
That said please feel free to post here if you have a 'lil some thing going on, we do check it regularly.
