The Svea Ulvar guild was created a few weeks after the opening of the servers, on the English DAoC-server Prydwen in the great realm of Midgard. This was the start of a glorious time.

The original idea of the guild was that is was to invite just Scandinavian players. The creator and first pack leader of SU was a Troll Thane called Zog. Svea Ulvar was created as a democratic organisation that let’s it’s members vote in the most important issues, and it still does.

The guild quickly grew in size and reputation, while the guild was not a pure RvR-guild it could summon several groups into battle when the realm was in danger and we quickly made ourselves known as one of the more noticeable and fierce defenders of the realm. There was a time when Caer Renaris was called Caer Ulv because of our fierce defence and how often we held that keep.

As time went by we merged whit several smaller guilds, and the wolf pack grew even more in size and strength.

Svea Ulvar joined a new Alliance that also only contained Scandinavian guilds, these new brother guilds were Ragnarök and Bulle af Fetstryk. This alliance was called Norrsken and is the oldest and still active alliance of the Dyvet cluster today. The server knew us as one of the more leading and respected guilds of Prydwen and the Ulvs often organised raids in both PvE and RvR.

Many moths went by until the discovery of the lost lands of Atlantis caused allots of confusion and disorder in the world. Signs of internal conflicts started show within the guild, and thus began the hardest time yet.

Troubled times
The Guild now had well over a hundred members and some didn’t come along well at all, as often happens with large groups of people.

The following incident would chock the guild to its core! The majority of the guilds original founders decided to leave the guild and start another guild and many of the other members saw this as sign that the guild was dissolving and started to wander of to other games or even other guilds.

Late in 2003 when the smoked clear all that was left was a rugged band of survivors that decided to remain and hold the Ulvar-banner high in spite of what most people thought of the status of the guild.

When Zog left SU he did so in a good manner and made Svartur the hunter new Guildmaster of the guild. Svartur decided to leave the game in early 2004, and this time it was Parn the Bezerker who took up the position as GM.

The guild slowly began to regain some of its former glory and soon we were once again one of the larger guilds of the server.

Later in 2005 Parn must have felt that he wanted some relieve and so made me Ogrelin Blodig his co-GM.

Today SU is active in both Hibneria and Midgard on the Dyvet Cluster holding the banners high! The remaining members are a very motivated group of players who work well together and take time to meet even in real life from time to time.
Many Ulvs don’t play DAoC anymore many still visit our forum on a regular basis, many of the visitors quit long ago but they still belong to the guild, and even shows up at our real life meetings from time to time.

What make our guild very special are the high quality players and our good communication with the other leaders of the realm as well as our player’s good knowledge of the DAoC universe.

Today 2007 the English DAoC-servers are a much different place then it was in 2001, now they are very scarcely populated and the few of us that are left are awaiting for the release of WAR.

Beta testing
If we were to get invited to the WAR beta testing, we could contribute with many experienced players who are interested in the game mechanics and willingly would partake actively in making the new game as good as possible. We often discuss in-game mechanics and how they could be changed or repaired. Many of our members have experience from other beta tests like DAoC, WoW and LotRO.
