Squad News
Posted by blahgod on 18-Oct-08 09:23am This thread is a place holder for the current squads and build we are running. Stay tuned... Read More | Comments: 0Recruitment Status : Closed
Posted by blahgod on 18-Oct-08 09:20am Recruitment status is currently: ClosedWe run phases of recruitment. The following is a brief description of the phases and what they are to accomplish.
Open
Pretty self explanitory. You are asked to invite people at any chance you can. We do this blitz early to find players. Granted, we sift through a lot of guild hoppers or random idiots. Fortunately, we gain alot more in the few players that stick with us. Try to find people in the Tier 2 range. Tier 1 is usually alot of peoples alts so we dont need idlers in the roster. Tier 3 and 4 is welcome of course as well, but you may find it harder to get people in this area. Tier 2 recruits have a chance to "grow up" in the guild and may adapt better than a Tier 4 thats expecting something that we may not provide. This phase should last between 2-4 weeks at a time.
Restricted
This phase is when we stop the open invitations. The Wanted rank loses the invite ability during this timeframe as well. Friends or old guildmates are still welcome and Bandits and above are able to invite so just ask. We do this phase right after open to slow the flood down and thin out the crowd. We try to keep ourselves in this phase for at least a week. It helps us identify the new people and help them out without more mouths to feed showing up. This phase should last for 7-10 days.
Closed
We close invites down after the Restricted phase so we can take time to concentrate on squads and tactics. During this time we also assign new Bandits or Outlaws if needed. This phase is usually brief, lasting a weekend or maybe a few days longer.
Once the Closed phase is completed, we cycle back to the Open phase and repeat this process. If the guild reaches max capacity, we will revert to Closed status until futher notice. Read More | Comments: 0
Guild Charter/Info
Posted by blahgod on 18-Oct-08 09:07amOutlaw has been around for some time now and we run a basic guild template. The follow is a basic ruleset and ranking description.
Ranks
Member ranks are as follows:
- Outlaw (Includes Original Outlaw and Most Wanted ranks as well)
- Bandit
- Wanted
- Accomplice
Outlaws are the officers of the guild. They have the power to invite, promote, kick, demote, create events, etc. We generally do not kick people from the guild unless its something that obviously needs to be addressed (stealing from the guild, racial slurs, etc.). If you are inactive or not participating in guild events, we won't kick you because you will more than likely move on by yourself. We do not expect things from you, but we will reward those that rise above the rest. Outlaws organize the guild and help build the squads.
Bandits are squad leaders. They do not have the ability to remove people from the guild, but their reports to the Outlaw ranks are taken seriously. They do have the ability to decide who is in which squad. Bandits are in charge of organizing their teams and builds on a somewhat regular basis. If you are interested in running a build or joining a squad, talk to a Bandit.
Wanted are the core group of the guild. Most members will be in this classification. You are not any less important or trusted than the Outlaw or Bandit ranks. We are pretty open with the permissions of this rank. Tier 3 is the requirement for this rank.
The Accomplice is the recruit rank. Limited permissions are set for obvious reasons. Anyone who joins <Outlaw> starts as this rank and will be promote to Wanted within an average of a week or two. The exception to this is for recruits that are level 17 or below.
Loot
Loot distribution in Outlaw is best described as Communism-on-paper. We do not run DKP or other systems. You get what you get. The only thing that is asked of you is if you aquire loot you cannot use, please consider checking the guild roster and seeing if anyone is in the level range and class of the unused loot. If they are, just mail it off to them. If you receive loot via mail and cannot use it, please forward it along to someone that can.
Taxes are set at 10% currently and the reserves are used to fund guild keeps, events, or may be distributed back to the guild during downtime. Taxes are not the officers slush fund. We do not plan on raising guild taxes, so feel free to tithe to help prevent the need to.
Other
The rules are pretty simple: Have fun, don't piss anyone in the guild off, piss off everyone on the destruction side. I asume we are all pretty sure how to play an MMO and how guilds work. If your not familiar with how guilds and MMOs work, then you might need to find a new guild. We do not babysit and we do not welcome inner-guild drama.
Rules will be updated and added as needed. Check out the other posts about squads, and recruitment.
