Viable raid spec, Utility, l and DPS

DPS
We are having real DPS issues that we should not have based on gear scores. We have decided to take the time to inspect everyone's gear and talent builds. In a hope to get some better performance from the raid.  I will be taking care of Locks and buffing classes i.e. ele shammy/boomkin/dk/enhance shammy's, Thunderz will be doing hunter's and the other officers will handle thier classes.

I have heard that some people have been resistant to change. End result we need to change we are not producing enough DPS to kill an easy boss like Anub. I also suspect that we are making all these fights harder with lower DPS.  Its got to come to and end. I am going to use wws and post a dps breakdown by class. Trust me I will take into account your utility. It would be hard for someone like Malti to dps and be Queen of dispel's. But being face planted is not an excuse. yes sometimes you won't get enough heals. But sometimes you need to adjust your play stlye.

I will not force you to respec or to play any certain style. however if we keep failing we will need to find another way to increase DPS. The other way is to bring hard hitters into the guild.  I have heard other officers state we need to get min average dps to 3k. This is being way to nice. The actual min we should be aiming for is 4500 and 6k dps on tank and spanks like patchwork. I will be watching numbers closely and posting 100% online "for a change".

So please stop being defensive about your spec. Its a great spec for you, but may not be the best for raiding. If your a DPS class your job is to bring the pain.  If an officer recommends a change, do not try to argue with them. You have 2 options, prove your spec to be viable. But better yet experiment make the change and play it for a week or two.   You can always respec again if it does not work for you.

Icecrown is coming, and our raiders deserve the strongest raid possible. With the highest level of success.

We will be posting strats for new bosses, if you would like to be invited to raid you will need to visit website. Read strat and make sure you sign strat. Just post a message and type your in game name. If you have a special strat you would like to discuss, this is the place to do it. I hate having to do this, but the massive failure to grasp simple boss ability's is making raiding harder. It is your job to make sure you understand the fight. One person cannot carry a raid. But one person can make a raid a failure.

Some of the fights we will be seeing in the future are far to complex to be explained using vent. If we plan on doing more than just looking at Ice Crown we need to get our shit together,

Most of the raiding members, want a more hardcore attitude when it comes to raiding.  We always intended on being a hardcore guild with a less than hardcore schedule.  Problem is we are failing to perform to our potential. Because of this we will be making some changes and pushing a bit harder. When we speak about attendance we are not talking about a miss here and there. But consistent problems.  Signing up for raid and failing to show up is a big screw up and from now on we will treat it like it is.

We used to kick people for attendance and we may still do so in some cases. However we will likely keep everyone as back up’s. If your attendance sucks, don’t expect to be invited. While it may happen we will not do anything to try to get you in.

Starting this week we will be adding a midweek raid, this raid will be short. And likely will only be 2 fights, VOA and Flame. If we have people on we may continue with some Uldar farm bosses. This is being done due to lack of time to work progression fights.

Now here is where its gonna get ugly, in the past we would leave farm bosses up to encourage attendance. That may happen due to raid comp, but in most cases we will clear as much as we can a night every night. Weekend raids may be nothing but progression, and if attendance drops off. Action will be taken.

If you want to be in a guild that does nothing but farm bosses, now is the time to start looking for one. But at least 75% of us would like to be involved in guild first kills. We are not going to have very many if raids continue this way. People who are on the guilds shit list will receive in game mail. So there will be no confusion to where you stand.
