If you want to raid Kara...
Posted by Eebel on 01-May-08 08:10pm
OK, so you've reached 70 and you want to come tear up Karazhan and Zul Aman. Well, if you want to spend all your daily money on repair bills, go ahead and run on in with your Greens and Blues.
However, groups that I put together will have the following gear standards. You may get an invite with less than these targets if we have a particularly good group. But don't expect it.
How do you get the prereq gear? There are lots of ways. Most of them involve you getting gear by doing daily quests and heroics or do some PvP. Also, get your gear enchanted. We have lots of enchanters in the guild (including me) who will help you with that part. You can also improvef your stats with weapon buffs, flasks, potions and food buffs. Don't show up to a raid without these items.
Tanks
Note: I shouldn’t have to mention it, but as a tank you should be uncrushable and uncrittable at this point.
Warrior
Health: ~17000
Block/Parry/Dodge: A very high number combined. Hoping to find a Warrior to give me an exact figure.
Paladin
Health: ~17000
Mana: ~5000+
Block/Parry/Dodge: ~100% combined
Spell damage: 200+
Druid
Health: ~17000

Armor: ~30000+ (Thanks Karthis, Argonaut)
Healers
Note: The combined healing output of your healers should be approximately 5000. For example, you could have a Paladin with 1500, a Priest with 1800, and a Druid with 1500. But don’t go too far in the wrong direction. I strongly suggest bringing in 3 healers.

Minimums for Kara and ZA
Posted by Alinas on 01-May-08 01:57pm
I found this on UofA's website - and they said they stole it from another raiding guild's forum - and I suspect this is the same site I was looking for - so I'm copying it
This is for ZA - so for us that would be "advanced 10 man raiding" perhaps.

Gruul the Dragonkiller down!
Posted by Tyrena on 18-Jan-08 03:48am
Lux Musae has reached a milestone in 25-man raiding. Gruul the Dragonkiller has fallen to our might, and our resolve couldn't be stronger.
What does this mean? We can look forward to progressing into Serpentshrine Cavern, and, eventually, Tempest Keep. Gruul will soon be on farm status. I encourage everyone to begin reading strategies for SSC on WoWiki. Early preparation will help greatly when we venture into the instance in the future.
Congratulations to Lux Musae and those few guild friends that helped!
And, since we're such an uberleet PvP guild, we did it with our flags on.

Karazhan cleared... Finally!
Posted by Tyrena on 02-Jan-08 09:20am
That's right, folks. We've finally downed Nightbane after months in Karazhan. Combined wth past kills, we can declare a full clear on the zone.
Now that we are able to clear the instance, we should focus on trying to gear up on everything possible and forming a second Karazhan raid, if at all possible. Opening up another raid would allow the guild to form a cohesive group for taking on 25-man instances in the coming months.
Congratulations go out to all that participated, and to those who helped lead up to this achievement.
