Now that there's a nice guide, there is no reason not to be on IRC whenever you're on travian.

Quick communication is absolutely vital to the success of this alliance.

If you're completely lost, IGM deakon.  If you can get onto the IRC (just click on the chat button in the left-hand column on every travian page) join #THell_public, and I'll see you there with some more instructions!

This is a guide for all to use IRC it doesn't matter how you use it you can download mirc:

http://www.mirc.com/  It's free but does ask you to buy it when you log in everytime or "donate".  I use this its my favorite tool for irc.

This is a client I know some here use for MAC computers and MAC phones to get into IRC on the go: http://colloquy.info/

Also there is a built in simple Java IRC tool on the left menu of Travian. Very simple to use but does have its short comings in options.

THell's IRC info:

When you install the program of your choice you'll be asked to join a server, and a random one will automatically show up for an option.   But instead choose to add a new one.  Click the add button, and type in: natar.travian.org  this is the server all travian servers use plus a few dozen travian players have additiona channels for their friends, including our alliance.

Now your on the server and none of it looks english or makes any sense unless your a computer guru.  But heres all you need to know:

type /nick type in a name that you use for the alliance or any version similar to it.  Your nick name will change when you hit enter.  (Sample /nick Deakon_Deadlysins).

Next type /ns register youremail@youremail.com (note this password is whatever you want).

This will save your nick name so no one else will take it and pretend they are you.  Also it will email you the information and give you a code to finish the registration it will also add a prompt to a new command to input that code you got in the email.  Finish registeration process as instructed.

Now type /identify   (whatever it was) it should say you've been identified.  You will need to do this anytime you use this nick name or in 30seconds it will change your nickname and lock you out from using it until you relog in.

Now that your identified and have a nickname find our channel:

Type /j #THell_public   (this will change so look below for changes).

 Now you can join and speak real time to your alliance mates.

We use this religously most leaders and we hope members will be in there when their at their computers it makes for great communication in a game like travian where fast response can be cruicial yet not enough discussion is absolutely necessary that we are on voice chat at all times.
