Welcome
Who we are: The Haven Knights guild is a social and light-medium RP guild on the Sisters of Elune server. Once one of the largest and most well-regarded Alliance guilds, we are looking to recapture the old spirit of camaraderie, support, distinction, and fun within the community. We do not discriminate against a player's level of experience or familiarity with the game, and welcome anyone looking to enjoy a friendly environment and learn new ways to play! What we're doing: Currently, we are enacting a number of changes and improvements to help facilitate the above goal. Never has there been a better opportunity to become a member, as you can play an active role in molding our future as a guild and help us define our "flavor". Though endgame is not our primary focus, we plan to offer assistance to our members with regular runs for Normal and Heroic 5-man gearing and progression in the 60-70 stretch, with casual Karazhan runs to follow. We also have a two-tab guild bank and use our bank funds to provide members with class training assistance, mount assistance, crafing materials, and starter gear. Our RP policy: RP is encouraged but never required, though you will find that the majority of us are fond of the hobby and are more than willing to welcome and teach newcomers the ropes - even if they never imagined themselves capable of RP. We strongly discourage any sort of RP elitism while simultaneously encouraging our members to develop cohesive and ongoing story arcs and relationships with each other. Read More | Comments: 0 The Midsummer Fire Festival is here.Posted by Leilana on 21-Jun-08 03:41pm This is by far my most favorite event in the game, and I urge everyone to participate if they're feeling adventurous and want to experience something genuinely different and rewarding.There's tons of things to do, from tiny quests that give you fantastic buffs, to defeating a boss in Slave Pens for exclusive drops. However, the most exciting part of this event is arguably the little-known fire run quest, where you venture into the heart of the opposing faction's major cities and steal their flames. The reward? A very rare and unique item - Crown of the Fire Festival, shown below.  I had the pleasure of doing this quest series with Dragoonex last year, and it's a lot of fun, especially if you don't know exactly where the flame is within each city. Very few people have completed or even know about this quest. So start questing! We'll be forming regular groupings for those who are interested in various aspects of the event, including Slave Pens runs for everyone 65+. It'd be a shame if you guys missed out on all the cool things you can do and obtain. I trust many of you are starting to get a feel for the sort of players that make good companions and guildmates, and realize that the key to a cohesive whole is not in random invites but actually getting to know a person and seeing how well they get along. As such, if you meet some people or know any friends who might like to join us, mention it to them. Tell them a bit about us, and if they demonstrate genuine interest, tell me or another senior member with recruiting capabilities. We've already added a good number of fresh faces through this alone, and I encourage the trend to continue. Want to be featured on a future area of the guild site? Want a bunch of gold handed to you? Then you'll be happy to know that the official Haven Knights Screenshot Contest is starting today. Show us all the wonders and fun of Azeroth, Outland, and beyond and you could be 50g richer. The following sorts of images/themes/concepts will get you noticed and increase your chances of winning: Guildmates hanging out, either socially or as a means to overcome a challenge. Exciting gameplay, such as tough battles, tense PVP, etc. Grand, sweeping landscape shots. Towering bosses or otherwise powerful forces. Telling a story with a single shot. Keep in mind, we want these screenshots to be catchy to the eye. Get creative - don't just center your subject in the frame and zoom all the way out. Try to capture the real feeling of a moment. Also, don't forget you can hide or show your UI elements with Alt+Z. When ready, upload your screenshot(s) to your GuildCafe profile. This is done by logging in with your GuildCafe username and clicking the "My GamerDNA" link at the top of the page. Then, click on "Images", followed by "Upload Image". Make sure to make them publicly viewable in your profile. If you don't have a username yet, get to registering. It's free, and you'll get to see all the other cool crap you've been missing out on in our forums. The deadline is Friday, April 18th. Read More | Comments: 0 More site work, and my approaching absence.Posted by Leilana on 18-Mar-08 04:55amI am working on a new background image for the guild site featuring active members of the guild, as decked out and posed using the WoW Model Viewer program. The current image is a test placeholder only, and represents a rough, unfinished early stage of concept and design as I work on positioning, color tweaks, and other refinements. The only reason I am making it visible to visitors of the site is to receive feedback on the concept itself - not the execution. If you would like your character featured in the background image, please upload a close-up screenshot to your GuildCafe member profile. From there, I will be able re-create your character and add equipment. I will be using either a.) your class D3 set, or b.) the equipment currently in your Armory listing. If you would rather a custom item set be shown on your character, please let me know. Between March 19th and March 31st I will be largely inactive, due to a visit from a good friend from out of town. During this period, Commanders and Elite Commanders will tend to guild matters. Scya and Drago have also offered assistance in order to keep things running smoothly.
