LOOT SYSTEM

Posted by mikeimus on 26-Feb-08 08:54am

We are now using an EPGP loot system

Use the following link to read about the loot system and download the ingame mod which will let you view your points:

http://code.google.com/p/epgp/

Your ability to gain loot is based on your Priority Rating (PR). The person with the highest PR will receive the item. This is assuming it is an item for their main spec. Often changing your roll within a raid is not encouraged for our raiders.

Your PR= EP / GP

Here are the ways to lose and gain Effort Points (EP):

SSC/TK bosses: 2000
Hyjal Bosses: 2500
Black Temple Bosses: 3000

****some bosses, such as end instance bosses, may temporarily have values adjusted because of the extreme difficulty comparatively****

Other
At Raid Leader Discression: (based on improved attempts, etc...) 25man Progression Boss Wipes Give 10% of boss kill value (only applies if boss not dead) (cap at 50% boss value)

Penalties (at disression of raid leadership)
Leaving Raid without 20min notice - 250
DC for more than 10min - 200
Failure to comply with Raid Leadership - 100
Not arriving for a run you sign up for - 100

Other Information
Guild leadership resevers the right to assign points to guild members who help out guild progression by farming items, many wipe attempts, crafting gear and items…etc…

In the case where items are not needed for primary spec by any raid members (formally know as a need roll), they can be greed bid for approx: 20% of the items full GP.

Ways to gain and lose Gear Points (GP):

Gear points are gained when you receive an item in a raid. The exception to this is Karazhan, ZA, Mag, and Guull.

The amount of GP gained is calculated by the following formula:

GP = item value2 x 0.04 x slot value

item value = (item level-1.3)/1.3

slot value
Head, Chest, Legs, 2H weapon= 1
Shoulder, Hands, Waist, Feet = 0.777
Trinket = .7
Wrist, Neck, Back, Finger, Offhand, Shield = .55
1H Weapon, Ranged Weapon, Wand = .42

That is a lot of math, but it basically boils down to the fact that as the level of an item increases the GP it is worth increases (in reference to different slots).

The GP of items is controlled by the mod itself, and a pop up will appear for the Master Looter in a raid. Certain items are obviously unbalance and in order to make the system a little better we are making a few changes to the GP:

1H main hand weapons (DPS & Healing) = 2x Given GP
Hunter Ranged Weapons = 2x Given GP
Caster Offhand = 1/2 Given GP

Tier Items are assigned GP based on the item the token will give you. I believe this is standard between classes.

Other Notes

The base GP is 100. Both EP and GP are decayed by the guild master weekly by 10% on Tues. before any raids take place.

If you have any suggestions for this Loot system, either the EP or the GP points
please post so we can edit the system. This is new for us, so we want it to be balance and no specific classes/persons to be "ripped off". We want to hear feedback and adjust the system as necessary

If anyone is good at editing mods we could use your help. Somewhere in the mod there is a file that adjusts what each item slot is worth. It would be helpful if we could change some of these so that they reflect values that may be more fitting. If you are able to do this please contact miketank or mikeimus. Thanks!

See you all in the dungeons!!!

Welcome to Escape!
Hey guys...we are gonna try using this as our website...
Let us know what you think about it!
To use this site to edit & read forums, sign up for raids etc...you follow the instructions below.

Do the Following to Join this Website :
1. Go to www.guildcafe.com and create your own username & password. This does not have to be the same as your WOW username or even character name.
2. Once you are logged into the site, go to 'Your Home' to see your personal page. About 1/2 the way down the page there is a link that says 'add games to your profile...' Take this link.
3. Once on your profile page, you need to add the game WOW to your profile, and more importantly your characters. I recommend adding any character you may want to raid with, but at least add your main.
4. Finally, go to http://escape.guildcafe.com/join. From here you can join the escape guild webpage. You can find the password to join within guild information found on the guild tab of your social window in the actual WOW game!
5. LETS SEE SOME RAID SIGN UPS!

***********NOTE..CHANGE YOUR TIME ZONE TO THE ONE YOU ARE LIVING IN TO SEE RAID TIMES IN YOUR TIME ZONE******* TO SEE RAID TIMES IN SERVER TIME, CHANGE TO CENTRAL TIME***********
