New Raiding system as of 10/13/08

Posted by Darkasp on 13-Oct-08 02:45pm

New Raiding System is going to start as of Tuesday 10/14/08.

We are looking towards the expansion and we want our guild to progress as much as we can. Yes we are a casual raiding guild, but that doesn't mean we do not want to progress. The leaders here have been discussing for sometime a few changes we can make to help promote that without going to a hard core raiding guild. Here is what we have come up with.

We will be making a raider status. To reach and maintain your raider status you must show up for 1 raid a week. Even if you are not picked for the raid you will be still counted as there. We will be more strict with people showing up for raids prepared such as potions, raid food, reagents, and repair monies. Showing up on time for raids will now be more important. We will only wait 15 minutes before filling someone’s spot, unless u have let the raid leader or a guild leader know ahead of time.
Now as a raider you will have some benefits form having this status. Raiders will be picked first for raids. This does NOT mean that non raiders can NEVER raid or that they can not change their status anytime they wish. But it does mean when it comes to loot decisions more than likely it will go to a raider over a non raider, unless the raider does not need.
We also will be trying not to take as many alts into raids as we have been. Now sometimes we need to and that’s fine. But if we can get a main in first that’s how it is going to be. With that being said, I k now we have many who have multiple level 70's. We need you to pick 1 as your main and stick with it. This means you need to get your main what it needs to raid and your main comes first.

As of the patch tomorrow blizzard is putting in a guild group calendar and we will be using it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We also have a new co- guild leader- congratulations Dereavic and 2 new officers congratulations Vacaro and Cheron. Please remember we are all here to help you guys and if you have any problems feel free to go to the class leaders, officers or guild leaders.
Now even though we are making a few changes we are still keeping the fundamentals of what our guild was created on. We are just leaving a bit more up to the members on what you want out of this guild. We will continue to provide the raids but members must now make more of an effort if they wish to continue on raiding or not.
Now we do realize with the expansion so close to coming out it is a bit harder to get some raids going. We do ask that you bear with this and see us thru to the expansion and as the 25 mans will be 10 manable things are going to change greatly.

Also please remember to have what raiding mods are needed!!!!! Blizzard will be adding some of these mods into their interface.

Also when the expansion is released we will be taking at least a 2 week hiatus from raiding so as many people can get to 80 as they can. Yes we do realize it may take some longer and that is fine.

We want everyone in our guild to be happy here. We value our members and we feel like most of you are our family.

Thanks from all of us. Guild leaders: Darkasp, Crossman, Offertwo,Tish and Dereavic. Officers: Greenknight, Vacaro, Cheron
Raid leaders Warmace and Ianmann
Class leaders Coch, Cheron, Vacaro, Odiem, Darkasp, Offertwo.
