Shout Box

Will Quest For Food is, at its heart, a guild of folk coming together for social purposes and casual instances and casual raiding. We are loosely associated with Thrilling Heroics (which see).

Members must be 18 years or older and well-humored. An appreciation for (or tolerance of) puns is a plus. Associate members (ages 13-18) may join with a parent's or guardian's explicit permission; the parent will be held responsible for the child's behavior.

Will Quest For Food Guild Goals:

1. Have fun – this is, after all, a game.
2. Make friends.
3. Have more successful gaming experiences and take on greater challenges than we could alone.
4. Advance our level of skill as players of our class both in solo and group situations.
5. Positively affect the Trollbane community.
6. Prepare those who are interested to raid with Thrilling Heroics.

As part of the community of the guild, members should strive to contribute socially as well as through adventuring assistance, crafting, trading needed materials, or donating to the bank.

Advancement in the Guild from lowest to highest rank:
  • Cat Meat: Newly-joined, not yet ranked. If you are still Cat Meat, it means an officer hasn't been paying attention. Feel free to yowl about it.
  • Serpent Flesh: The initial rank for new members which indicates the one month “trial period” for a member. During this time either member or guild may decide the one is not for the other and end the membership.
  • Fresh Meat: Requires one month of membership, participation in the website forums, and the contribution of materials or crafting skill to the bank or another guild member or at least one grouping adventure with one or more other guild members.
  • Warp Burger: Requires two months of membership, continued participation in the website forums and contributions to the bank or other guildies or grouping adventures with other guild members.
  • Ravager Dog: Requires three months guild membership, continued participation in the website forums and contributions to bank or other guildies, and at least one instance/raid completed with guild members using voice chat. Former members of TH will be "grandfathered" to at least this rank.
  • Cheesemaster: Officers, with powers to promote, demote, ginvite and gkick. Current Cheesemasters must unanimously agree on the advancement of a member to Cheesemaster status. All founding members are permanently Cheesemasters.
  • Sous Chef: With all of the powers of the Cheesemaster, plus bank management, plus Web site managment, the Sous Chef is second only to the Chef.
  • Chef: Unquestioned Master of the Kitchen domain. There Can Be Only One.
Acceptable Behavior Guidelines

Problem behavior includes:
  • Inappropriate looting, ie. ninja looting.
  • Inappropriate use of guild chat, or the common social channel (MoreCowbell), ie. crude language (beyond PG-13), personal interactions that would be best served with an ingame tell to the relevant person, or personal attacks.
  • Sullying the good name of Will Quest For Food in the Trollbane community or with the allied guild(s).
  • Anything that might be readily interpreted as offensive by a reasonable person. In other words, if you aren't sure everyone will know it's a joke, don't say it.
These are only some ways that a member could show themselves to not be a desirable guild member. Rules may be changed or added if other anti-social behavior becomes apparent. Officers are expected to use their own best judgment if anything untoward occurs which is not already covered by an explicit rule. Members are responsible to keep up with rule changes.

Three separate verified complaints of poor behavior will result in a member’s dismissal. Upon the first complaint, a warning will be sent to the offender, and s/he may respond to the accusation(s). The second will put the member on probationary status, though the accused may still refute the charge, and the third will remove him/her from the roster.

Looting rules:
  • Party looting will run on a "need all greens, pass and roll on blues or better" system. Bind on pickup items are "blue or better" regardless of color.
  • Raids (parties of more than 5) use a need/greed roll system similar to above, except that those rolling for blues or better are expected to be qualified at the time of the roll to use the item for which they are rolling.
