12 man Raid in the Waterworks. The Monday Night Club are a group of Seven (7) players within TS that are only let out on Monday Night. Any TS members if you are available, please help them out. Last week was another rollover, pot is rising and time to find some lucky dice.
As Dodo and Undone are awol, so another evil hobbit 'Drusric' will do the honours.

Book 8 Raid Thoughts

Well, it sounds like Book 8 will be coming fairly soon, and in it we have a new 12 man raid that I know many of us are looking forward to it immensely

Obviously we're first going to have to get a bit more geared up in the new 3 man and 6 man instances, but after that it'll be time to step up, and kick some arse!
Yes, that's right... we'll be doing the kicking!!


So, since this is likely to be our "new Rift" for the foreseeable future I'd like to open the following for discussion:

1. Raid days?
2. Do we use the guides that'll no doubt appear within days?
3. We need to come up with a plan for loot.
4. What players or classes do we have that need gearing up between now and Book 8 as a priority?
5. Are we lacking cover for any classes?
6. How do we handle oversubscription?

And some thoughts on the above:

1. We used to run the Rift on Thursday night (reset day), with continuation on Friday and Sunday normally.
   Used to work well, although I appreciate that some days can be difficult for people...
   I guess that we'll still want to sneak in a Filikul at some point (Monday atm), and maybe a Watcher aswell?
   Believe they're also changed to twice weekly reset (if they don't muck it up again), so that's a consideration I suppose.
2. I'd hope that we'd at least have a damn good go at each boss in there before consulting any guides. By that I mean a night or two of wiping at least...
   Personally I'm looking forward to the raid so can group with 11 other peeps, have fun, and have a new experience and challenge, much like we did in the Rift.
   Loot should be a secondary consideration IMHO, i.e. once it's on farm.
3. There's a distinct lack of AlleyCat input in this thread.
   Does that mean everyone's happy with some kind of SK system for 1st age barter items, everyone's apathetic, or something else?
4. Any players interested in raiding that do not have a character with near* full radiance? Morel springs to mind, as does Efoin.
   *Ignoring DD for now tyvm
5. Probably need more LMs in a raidable state (Enelye, Morel and Dess) since not sure we have any geared one's in the kin yet. Few in AlleyCat though of course.
   Probably lacking captain cover too, and possibly champions?
6. I suspect we'll have more than 12 people wanting to raid regularly. Think we'll probably need some kind of rotation or roll off system (within classes), although I guess we can wait and see.

Think it's a good thing to plan for?
Am I being overly dramatic?

Any comments or thoughts?

Moria Raid Loot Discussion

Have found an interesting discussion on different looting strategies for the new Moria raids, focussing on the 1st age barter coins primarily.

I believe this is a key thing to resolve, since weapons and class items will be much more important to people (I think) than the armour pieces.

I imagine for the gems we'll use our old banking rolling system, since that did seem to work quite well.


I must admit that Suicide Kings system does sound quite a good plan, and the guy suggesting multiple lists for different types of loot or raids makes sense aswell I think, although a bugger to manage...

I seem to remember discussing SK before and it was decided against, can't quite remember why, and can't see it in the thread.

Thoughts?

Now, we have a proven track record here, having won a housing competition before
Of course this time we'll be up against the whole server...

Suggest we have a think about it, what and where to take some screenies... whether to all get together for it, etc.

Also whether we need any cleaning in the kin house
