The Paragon City Detective Agency (or PCDA for short) was founded by Blue Boxer and Silent Tsunami on the Triumph server almost a year ago, in fall of 2004. Originally they didn’t think anyone would be interested in playing in the group, so the two fo them designed matching uniforms and went about their business stopping crime. They were wrong. Within days they’d met two more like-minded individuals - Chiavaro1 and Snowfire. Together, these four players formed the still active core of the PCDA. The ideals of the PCDA are reflected in our motto “No job too small”. What does that mean? That we go out of our way to help people - regardless of level - by exemplaring down or sidekicking up if necessary. That we enjoy explaining the way the game works to new visitors to Paragon City. That we promote Justice, by arresting the criminals that plague our city. And finally, that we are good MMO citizens: we do NOT grief other players (although going to PvP zones or the Arena to work out your frustrations is fine!) and we report exploits and bugs as soon as we find them, using the in-game /bug command. In the sections below you will find information about our supergroup - our rules (there aren’t many), our dress code, the perks of becoming a PCDA member, and other information. I have noticed that some articles on this subject tend to show persons personal point of view as to what role playing is and how it should be done. The problem is that everyone is different, and what is right for one person, may not be for another. So I just intend to give some general useful information with out ramming too much of my own opinion down your throat saying this is the only way to do it. This is not indented to be a definitive guide merely a starting point of things to bear in mind. If you read several different articles on role playing and some of the views seem to conflict, remember its just different peoples opinions. Take from it what you think is good and if you think something does not sound right for you, then it may just be there role play style (you don't have to follow it).

Stephi: This little blurb is intimidating isn’t it? Well for now I guess we’ll just start out by saying THIS IS ALL TJ’s FAULT! ^.^ Jason and I are two run of the mill gamer geeks who happened to meet at the right time. Coincidentally, it was at a Live Action Role Playing game (LARP) back in ‘01. After a few years of courtship, and a fun proposal at the same game three years later, we’ve been happily married since 2005. We both play tons of RPG’s, though Jas (Fio) has a bigger repertoire than I do. We play video games, both PC and console and our biggest habit at the moment is World of Warcraft. We’re (practically) Co GM’s of Aetherial Circle on the Drenden server, an alliance guild that is considered one of a few very bloggy type guilds in the WoW-verse. For now… that’s about it. <3
