Just an example of an addictive personality. She should have been happy tht he was addicted to a game and not drugs or alcohol. It's not the games fault it's his chemical imbalance.

I don't raid much for the simple reason that I don't want to feel unconfortable about leaving my keyboard. I don't think there is anything wrong with playing a game if it entertains you. Quite frankly, I think alot of the "IRL" things that people do usually involve a cleverly (or not so cleverly) disguised line to buy things.

m'kay. iv been playing wow ever scence it came out and am i addicted? yes i am, but i will not let it get in the way of my real life. i have a GF lots of friends and i do a time consuming sport and somehow have time to raid. its not hard. i mean who wants to sit on there ass for more then 3 hours? iv just recently got a job ( my age =p i just turned 17) and i dnt think it will be any harder to balance it out with school girls and family. the point im tryin to make is its the player not the game. funny thing is i only have 1 70....hmmmm but one more coming (=

So the dood buys WoW, becomes a Raid whore and spends every waking moment playing the game and its her fault? Less Phat Purplz, more IRL, plz. Like I always say.. WoW doesn't kill people, make people lose their job, lives or kids.. People do it to themselves.

The guy was spending all his time on WoW and she thinks its what destroyed the marriage. Wonder if she ever considered that they had a crappy ass relationship that drove the guy to escape from it?

It takes a hella lot longer for a marriage to disintegrate than nine months unless its just a shell of a relationship to start.

One quote cracked me up: "I had set aside 30 minutes for us to watch a television show together, and he couldn't. He was stuck on a raid, and completely failed to understand why I was upset," she said.

SHE has set aside the 30 minutes. LOL my wife and I respect each other way too much to "set up" each others time. Sounds like she might be a wee bit of a control freak.

Well, try to play the game your obsessed man (or woman) is playing and spend time doing that, you might like it.
my BF and I play Guild Wars together daily, thats like 'our time'
outside of other stuff ;p

but I can understand about not helping w/ housework or paying
the bills, but...there -are- ways in getting a guy away from the computer

but hey gamer boys need gamer girls.
Sadly I'm more of a gamer than my BF LOL

I get a bit into wow, but i dont have a problem spending time withmy family. So I guees there are just some people addicted to anything that can be addicting. Better wow than drugs.

I am glad I just leveled to 70 and then PVP for my PVP gear. That way I never play WoW more than 2 hours in a sitting.
