More proof that Blizzard has set the bar for Massively Multiplayer Online gaming. Everyone making an MMO should take notes on Blizzard's strategies. Sony and Everquest are in the past. This is the age of Blizzard.

There is a difference between 10 million sold and 10 million subscribers. They obviously hit 10 mil in sales last summer and have just now reach 10 mil active subscriptions.

People who have quit aren't subscribers. I'm fairly certain they are referring to active accounts.

Remember, they're counting unique accounts which include goldfarmers, secondary user accounts (multi-boxers), and the people who've quit. I'd be more interested in seeing total active accounts. I can assure you it's far less impressive.

Hehe, really? I saw a WoW box at Best Buy last summer that already had a "10 million" sticker.
