Sounds an awful lot like the Hyena and the Antelopes fable they tell in Africa. One day a Hyena came upon two young antelopes, the bigger antelope knew that they were in trouble and told the younger to make a run for it. The bigger laid down and hoped to sacrifice for the younger. The hyena came upon the older antelope and thought it was dead and turn around and left.

The problem I have with this story is that it is completely unsubstantiated. It sounds a lot more like a case of "wouldn't it be cool if..." than an actual event. If -- and when -- it is discovered to be a hoax, the backlash can only hurt the gaming community.
