My spore newsletter came today with a link to a ton of amazing spore movies! I am so looking forward to playing with this game. Here's a link to a page with a choice of veiwing all the movies in either hi or low res...I defaulted the choice to Will Wright talking because he's just about the coolest geek ever.

Will Wright's response to the less-than-exemplary early reviews of Spore

The early reviews have been good - but not all as good as everyone was expecting. I think the game will win its audience over time - but hardcore gamers are skeptical of the casual friendly gameplay and I'd say many casual players will be put off by the scope of the endgame Space stage.
In this article for MTV Multiplayer, Stephen Totilo gets Will's response to a New York Times' review that says Maxis should take another pass at the last few stages and release a big revision pack next year (for the record, I think the game is awesome and will only get better if they commit to updating it on a regular basis).
