Too bad it's not a famous mosque. If you think people are upset over a church in the game...

Actually, if anyone actually remembers, Jesus didn't want a church for God anyway. So...actually the game is helping with God's work.

*shrug*

"Can't we all just get along?!"

Unfortunately, we don't have a large amount of us in England who believe that if you don't like something, don't bother with it. If only we did, Big Brother would be taken of air immediately after the ratings drop.
Also Sensational bit of a bad comment, it's comments like these that prevent people evolving into, what I like to call, adult hood exhibiting the characteristic mentioned above.
And yes, Xtahc, it is probably going to result in even me people leaving the church, in fact every time The Church pulls a stunt like this they drive away prospective clergy. Also you have to think, if God really is all proving and so on then why would the church need to sue so much?

To bad you didn't get to blow up the church and spit on the remains, that'd been fun.

That church needs to get over it, i'm sure God didn't start playing that game and have a huge fit. It is ppl like that, that can't seperate "fantasy/ game play that are making ppl run away from churches and God. Sure the church could try and sue, but is that what Gods money should be used for, sueing and turning ppl off of church as usual. Sony won't be hurt by a suit, it is helping the games popularity, the church and God's rep will suffer from this overdramitc hatting on a video game. Besides it is not like the game showed the aliens killin g God in the church, and i'm sure if aliens were ot invade, they wouldn't know not ot go in the church, besides a good churches doors are always open to everyone. Maybe sony was showing how important is it to help save the churches during alien invasion.

Michael Moore is more offensive than this by far.... looking, smelling, acting, pretty much everything about him actually. Why doesn't someone remove him and leave the poor FPS alone.

Here is the BBC report on the matter:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_SWe6bwEN0

My opinion: Perhaps it was a poor choice of location, not properly researched and insensitive to the Manchester local, but since when is insensitivity actionable? Maybe in England? How about the USA? Someone made a movie about 9.11 that I personally felt was offensive and insensitive, so I didn't watch it. It never occurred to me to become involved in an effort to stop it.
