Ya the music system could use a bit of work, but this is the beginning of something really nice in the way of player created content. This month the GuildCafe staff will be adventuring in the lands around the Shire on Brandywine so I was doing a little research and learned about this feature. Nice.

I LIKE questing and a slower paced game. I don't like killing 20+ boars every 5 levels for a new quest. The quest design in this game is horrendous. Same with the deeds. I thought it was going to be fun, but all it is, is a boring grind to get a point. And I mean boring, because the combat is where the true problem lies. Its just not dynamic enough, and doesn't FEEL right. Bah, whatever, play the game, I don't care if they keep adding this so called content, if its more of the same kill 60 boars, then its not really content is it?
This music system is very cool. I know it was one of the things several people asked for in Galaxies for entertainers. It is very nice when you get a couple people working together on a song, but annoying when some jack-ass decides to sabotage a beautiful version of "Dust in the Wind" with "Johnny Crack Corn" or w/e.
The game is still very young and they are constantly adding content and opening up new areas for players to explore. I've been playing on Elendilmir since open beta and I still haven't seen some areas that are higher levels. There is so much to explore and quests to do that I will be playing for a long time. The ability to have 5 avatars/acct helps too. You can really get into trying each profession. I haven't even ventured into 'monster play' either. It's very difficult for a game to be everything to everyone. For those who enjoy taking things a little slower and questing, LOTRO is an awesome game.
This is such old news. But..when I played the game, this was an interesting system, and innovative in my opinion. Kudos to the developers on this one. Too bad the rest of the game, aside from the graphics(which are incredible, scenery at least), is boring and dull.
I love it. One of the best features of LotRO. It can be a bit annoying if someone is having a go at it without rhythm or melody. But this one here is really well done.
