Xbox Hardware Failure

Everyone with a 360 knows about the ''red light of death''. Now with so many Xbox's having hardware failure is it time for political action? Microsoft is apparently more concerned about fixing broken systems than making the problem go away on newer manufactured 360's.

Mine still works like a charm! A buddies of mine is broken though. 140$ bucks out of warranty to fix.
