Circuit City should have gone instead on CompUSA

Only 2 around where I live and travel to every month.

The only one within 3 hours of my house closed a year ago just after the holidays...picked up a few good deals while I was there, but most of the good stuff had been picked over. It's a shame the rest of the stores are following suit...I always thought they had better prices than Best Buy. =(

Time to get some new worthless accessories for almost not as much as they usually rip me off for...

Bought by a private equity firm and they are selling the stores off. They claim it is due to Best Buy and I would guess wall mart.

The two CompUSAs closest to where I live both closed years ago. They didn't even warn the employees -- folks just showed up for work to see a sign on the door saying that the store was closed. At least the people working there now know they're going to be unemployed soon.

I kinda wish we did still have one nearby, though -- I love close-out sales!

Lol, didn't this happen like eight years ago and they 'miraculously' rebounded enough to stay open?

not surprising when you stop to consider the gradual price increases that could be seen at CompUSA.
