PeltZ: I heard Mass Effect featured a bunch of tweaking that WASN'T necessary for survival. How does that deliver to the "intelligent part of the gaming community"?

A great story arc doesn't justify slim interactivity for most of us. RPG's... big on rules, low on play

I think Mass Effect was brilliant. While the side missions were boring and more like a chore and the rewards weren't that uber or in fact necessary at all, the main story arc was excellent. Once i got the side missions out of the way the game really picked up pace.

I'm sure Mass Effect will be more combat oriented in the sequel and for that i feel already sorry. Because the intelligent part of the gaming community actually got a game that required more than zerging your enemies.

And to all "brainless shooter games" i say: How many times do i have to kill the same enemy in the same costume.

I fail to see how BioWare has done anything different to redefine the genre since KOTOR. Their RPG's are already the same game with a different skin TBH.

As for my nonsensical title puns; I think you'd enjoy Mass Effect.

Some people LIKE to read. :-)

I'm glad they are doing something different. I get sick of the whole RPG genre being the same game with a different skin.

@ Woden87: Yeah, I know. I was referring to Jodou's nonsensical title of this news post.

@ hahnsoo: "Mass Effect" is a game by BioWare. =)

Erm. What does "Reaches Mass Effect" even mean? You might be thinking of Critical Mass, and it isn't anywhere close to the definition of Mass Effect (displacement of fluid/mass due to a foreign body).

ZP is always awesome.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy RPG's but the path BioWare has taken with their franchises is boring. If I wanted this level of reading, I'd pick up a book.
