The list of Hollywood attempts at trying to create serious and horrific video game themed movies seems to be increasing—see Gamer, Stay Alive—but one genre it may soon be tackling is comedy. According to a report from Variety, Warner Bros. is pursuing a sci-fi-comedy called Alt-Delete "in which two guys working for a [video game] publishing company come to realize they are avatars in a larger game." That sounds semi-familiar, because that sounds like the premise of every other video game themed movie, but this one is trying to be intentionally funny. Variety pegs two screen writers, Tim Kelleher and Danny Zuker, as responsible for the movie both of whom appear to have ample TV sitcom experience. IMDB calls the flick Control-Alt-Delete, but who knows if that has change to prevent confusion with the online comic of the similar name.

The name of this tune is "God's Gunna Cut You Down". This was one of Johnny's last great tunes before time and and worn-out heart took him from us and placed at the Throne with his wife, June Carter-Cash. Johnny as you can hear is atoning for a life twisted and mired in about as much sin as you could find. But, as he was brought up so long ago, he really was, deep down inside, a true believer and he knew his time was at hand. You can see from the video that many a superstar were seen in this video in his honor. I do hope they understand that God will come sooner or later for us all.

Buckingham Palace will be getting a special delivery today as THQ plans to deliver a golden Wii earmarked for the Queen. The pack will also include a copy of the newly released BIG Family Games, as Philip, Charles and the rest of the royal family compete for the living room crown. The publisher hopes the PR stunt will amuse Queen Elizabeth, though we hope the 83-year old monarch doesn't throw her arm out swinging the console's presumably heavier gold-plated remote.

Allegations about elephant mistreatment do not appear to have shaken corporate support for an upcoming Wii Ringling Brothers circus game. Take-Two, a company that has weathered protests against Grand Theft Autos, Bully and Manhunt declined to address PETA's allegations that the Ringling Bros. circus violently mistreats its elephants, but backed the game: "As a matter of company policy, we don't comment on the business affairs of our licensors," the company's vice president of communications, Alan Lewis, told Kotaku. "We fully stand behind all of our products." As for the circus, it has been attacked by PETA for these matters before.

Anyone who grew up in the 1980s grew up watching many of the same, 30 minute toy commercials known as Saturday morning cartoons. Those same children, in all likelihood, grew up in households where video games had become more a part of daily life. Consoles like the Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis together with the emergence of more games for the personal computer which was becoming more and more popular in homes made gamers of many of them. It seems only natural then that these two childhood memories, cartoons and video games, come together in this list of 80s cartoon IPs that, should a development studio CEO get nostalgic, would make for interesting MMORPGs.

The only video game being released alongside the film premiering May 8 -- "Star Trek: D.A.C." -- is a simple downloadable arcade-style space shooter that allows players to join either Federation or Romulan forces and engage in galactic online battles. "We made a conscious choice in making this game that we weren't going to retell the story of the film," said lead designer Tarik Soliman. "The film itself is awesome. It's a new take on `Trek.' It's fresh. It's exciting, and it appeals to a much wider audience I think than other `Trek' films may have in the past. We wanted to capture that sensibility in this game."
